OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. refers to the group of quinolone antibiotics which is used to treat the infection of eyes like red eyes known as conjunctivitis and ulcers in the cornea of the eyes. The OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. works by killing and stopping the growth of bacterial infections. This solution by Medlock Healthcare is specialized for only curing eye infections.

OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. works by hampering DNA gyrase which is a bacterial enzyme that helps to copy the DNA of bacteria, thereby clearing the infection and killing the bacteria. Use these drops as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use these drops for any other purpose as it can affect you.

There can be some side effects after using OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. eye drops. Some of them are:-

• Itching 
• Blurred Vision
• Hives

If you experience any of these symptoms getting worse, rush to your doctor immediately. The physician may reduce your dose or might suggest some alternative to this medicine.

Directions or using OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P.

Before using this medication on your own, read the steps mentioned below to know how to use this drug safely or you can consult your doctor.

1. Before using this medicine, remember to wash your hands properly with soap and water.
2. Check the tip of the dropper to make sure it is working or clogged.
3. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper.
4. Tilt your head a little down, stretch your eyes a little with one hand, and put two drops in each eye.
5. Close your eyes immediately for 2-3 minutes.
6. Do not touch or rub your eyes after taking the medicine.
7. With the help of a tissue wipe the excess drops from your tear duct.
8. Clean your hands properly after using this medicine.

Overdose of OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P.

Do not overuse these eye drops. Talk to your doctor if you want to increase or decrease the dose for OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. Do not stop the course in between. Overdosing of the drug can result in worsening your eye condition, blurred vision, swelling in your eyes, and extreme itching in the eyes.

Here are some precautions that you need to keep in mind before using OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P.:-

• Tell your physician beforehand if you are allergic to ofloxacin.
• If you had any eye problems in the past, talk to your doctor so that he can guide you accordingly.
• Consult your doctor before taking OFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION I.P. if you are pregnant.
• Do not travel or drive after using this medication as it may blur your vision for some time.

Storage advice

You are recommended to store these eye drops in a cool dry place or at your room temperature below 30°C. Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.
